Lisa Snider has over 19 years’ experience working with digital accessibility in different settings and contexts, including as a web developer, archivist and librarian. Lisa’s passion in life is working with website, document, audio, video, email, social media content, electronic signage, and app accessibility, and educating others on how to make these digital materials accessible for everyone, including people with different disabilities.
Through her company, Access Changes Everything, Lisa provides automated testing, user testing by people with disabilities, accessibility audits, remediation, procurement consultation, seminars and in person and virtual training for various North American governments, organizations, universities and businesses.
Lisa was Chair of the Government of Manitoba’s Accessibility for Manitobans Act Information and Communications Standard Development Committee, is the Canadian delegate to the ISO 14289-2 Committee for PDF/UA-2 (US Technical Advisory Group), was a Stakeholder in the W3C Accessibility Guidelines Working Group Silver Task Force (WCAG 2.1) and is a member of the Microsoft Office Accessibility Group, Microsoft Mac Outlook Accessibility Group and Microsoft Inclusive Workplace Customer Advisory Council, collaborating with Microsoft to improve the accessibility of their products.
